Better Case Narratives
This year brought the ability to build a case during and in the same platform as document review. Using the newly-released StoryBuilder© Chronology, you can now reap the benefits of review and case mapping in one cohesive workflow. 2015 might have been your last year of emailing Chronologies back and forth, or debating whose version is the latest.
The international law news of the year was the dismantling of the Safe Harbor agreement. However, we helped move along globalization too with foreign language detection and translation features. And just last month, we partnered with legal service provider NuLegal to make Everlaw available to lawyers in Australia and New Zealand. For them, 2015 might have been the last year of legacy, difficult-to-use ediscovery tools.
This year, ediscovery became even more intuitive. Taking advantage of our usability-focused redesign saved reviewers time and reduced frustration all year long. Our mission to make ediscovery as easy to use as everyday consumer tools even won us a Communicator Award for Product Design and recognition from Gartner as a “Vendor to Watch” in May. 2015 could have been your last year of ediscovery confusion and clunkiness.
2015 introduced new ways to keep review projects on track. For example, Assignments allowed case admins to divide up work among reviewers and to automate additions to these workloads. So, this may have been your last year of wondering who was reviewing what or waiting for document assignments. Features like “Code as Previous” and one-click redaction also improved reviewer efficiency. And we improved our own efficiency by creating and open-sourcing a plugin that enables quicker and more accurate coding.
2015 was a year of security concerns: this year’s ILTA/InsideLegal Buyers Survey saw the topic top firms’ priority lists. To tackle these concerns, we introduced two-factor authentication for login and secured third-party certification (SOC 2 Type I audit) of our security practices, like end-to-end encryption. 2015 was a year that further solidified safeguards for your firm.
This year, we welcomed seven additional team members dedicated to making litigation prep better. With a quirky values recognition program and many adventurous team events like Escape Rooms, bubble soccer, rock-climbing, and go-karting, we strengthened our team and our dedication. It was so much fun that we earned the title of “Best and Brightest Company to Work For” in the Bay Area!
