With LegalTech West Coast 2014 only one week away, it’s time to start planning what I want to see on the expo floor. The Exhibit Hall will include over 50 vendors, addressing everything from case management to law firm marketing to ediscovery, so it’ll take some careful planning to make sure I optimize my time between sessions. Here are the vendors I’m most excited to see at LegalTech this year:
ABBYY USA (booth 417): ABBYY’s optical character recognition (OCR) technology is simply the best. I’ll be using their Business Card Reader mobile app to capture contact information for people I meet at the show.
Mopro (booth 309): Mopro offers small law firms literally everything they need to build a modern online presence, including slick websites and social media pages. I’m curious to see whether their booth offers similarly high production values.
SanDisk (booth 213): The price of data storage continues to plummet—a necessity given the explosion of data in litigation—and SanDisk is one of the companies we have to thank for that. As memory card makers, they’re also likely to have some of the best swag!
Square (booth 401): Square lets anyone (including law firms) accept credit cards with their mobile device for a 2.75% fee, a simple idea that’s changed small business forever. Maybe I’ll snag another free card reader, too…
UniCourt (booth 115): UniCourt will be debuting their automated tracking service for PACER and state court dockets. This is a part of the market that’s grown stagnant, so I’m excited to see what they’re bringing to the table.
Of course, Everlaw will be there, too. Stop by booth 210 if you want to see the fastest and most intuitive ediscovery solution on the market, including a fully-integrated set of litigation tools to help you organize hot documents into compelling arguments!
